Hydrocoll®

  • provides an ideal environment for the formation of
        granulation tissue
  • facilitates debridement by promoting autolysis
  • high absorption capacity rapidly and reliably binds
        away excessive exudate, extending dressing change
        intervals
  • provides optimum fit
  • reduces risk of rucking and detachment
  • the hydrocolloid matrix minimises gel residues and
        skin irritation
  • frequency of change depends on nature of wound
        but can be left in-situ for up to 7 days
  • should not be used on sores in the region of bones,
        muscles or tendons or third degree burns
  • suitable for moist wound care, teatment of light to moderately
        exuding wounds, second degree burns, covering donor sites,
        abrasions, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, treatment of chronic,
        slow healing wounds where the granulation process is not
        progressing satisfactorily
