Sorbalgon T®

  • ribbon form
  • can be placed loosely into deep or cavity wounds
  • prevents dehydration of the wound
  • has a regulative effect on exudate
  • bacteria and exudate are trapped within the gel structure
  • well tolerated even during long term application
  • the high intra-capillary suction capacity guarantees a 
        rapid absorption of exudate
  • reliably binds exudate helping effective wound cleansing
  • dressing can removed almost without residue
  • any remaining fibres are biodegradable
  • soft, loose alginate fibres adapt to wound shape for conformability
  • may be combined with HARTMANN TenderWet and TenderWet 24
        for wound cleansing in the case of deep, cavity wounds. In this combination,
        the dressing requires changing every 24 hours
  • make use of HARTMANN Hydrocoll or Permafoam as secondary dressing
  • do not use on exuding wounds
  • the frequency of change depends on nature of wound
  • can be left in-situ for up to 7 days
