Reliable adhesive strips on Foliodrape drapes ensure fast and reliable fixation on the patient’s skin and provide an effective germ barrier. Thus the migration of microorganisms to the incision wound can be prevented effectively.
Before the adhesive strips are fixed it must be ensured that the disinfec- ted skin area is dry to enable sufficient adhesion.
Foliodrape draping sets are assembled with their individual components according to the requirements of frequently occurring operations and pro- vide preoperative preparation systems for practically any discipline.
The draping sets are folded and assembled in an order that enables their easy and sterile use.
As with textile drapes, draping can be carried out by two persons. In case of a shortage of personnel or in emergencies, draping with Foliodrape can be easily carried out by only one person under sterile conditions.
The use of Foliodrape draping sets in the operating theater also facilitates storage, planning and cost overview.
Because Foliodrape drapes are combinable with the traditional textile 4-sheet system, they can also be used as "mixed drapes". An extensive range of supplementary drapes and accessories are available for this.
Two-layer Foliodrape drapes and aperture drapes have proven themselves in minor surgical procedures, for example on the ward or in the outpatient department. They are available in different sizes with and without adhesive zones, sterilized and individually sealed for use.
The aperture diameter of the two-piece Foliodrape aperture drapes can be varied and exactly adapted to every incision site by placing the two sheet halves on top of each other.
